Dr. Jenny Schmidt-White
My circuitous route to naturopathic medicine started with a BA in psychology from the University of Manitoba, a diploma in massage therapy, pre-med requirements from Mount Royal University, and ended with graduation from Boucher Institute of Naturopathic Medicine in BC, (I DO love learning).
Working for 8 years in the area of sports rehabilitation as a Registered Massage Therapist in Banff and Canmore, I was inspired her to learn more about health, longevity, and disease prevention. Prior to returning to Alberta in 2013, (missing the sunshine and the mountains), I practiced naturopathic medicine in Vancouver’s vibrant downtown.
My practice focuses on family health and wellness, healthy aging for men and women (brain, skin, menopause, andropause, energy, digestion…feeling good inside and out), and optimizing fertility and hormone function. I work with you, within realistic and sustainable parameters, to find the root cause of dysfunction in your body and address it.
I work with patients using nutritional and lifestyle counselling, individualized lab testing, orthomolecular medicine (vitamin and mineral therapies), acupuncture, botanical medicine (my passion), and intravenous therapies.
I have received additional training in the areas of pediatric care, fertility, thyroid support, neural therapy (for the treatment of scar tissue), visceral manipulation, NeuroEmotional Technique (NET), esoteric acupuncture, and intravenous therapies.
