Natural Beauty: Lean into Yourself

You are beautiful. I truly believe that. And if you are over 40 it’s the wrinkles, the grey hairs, the slowing down of our mature bodies that is perfect. It’s wonderful and the way it’s supposed to be while living in this physical body.
I work a lot with women 40+ years old. And I know for many of us especially as we near and surpass 40 we want to do what we can to take care of our skin and be healthy. I love to take care of my skin and my health so that I can age as gracefully as possible. Naturally I support the women I work with in that goal as well.
These are my priorities to encourage natural beauty to flourish.

Physical Health

We must consider how the body is functioning. What are you nourishing your body with? Whole & beautiful foods? Or too much sugar, alcohol etc? Are you moving? Exercise helps the lymphatic system function optimally, and to help you maintain a healthy body weight.
Sometimes we look at supporting the hormonal system with herbs or other nutrients like collagen to support optimal skin function.

Mental Health

Stress! Its no good for hormones and certainly no good for aging skin. It ages us faster! How are you coping with mental health? Are you stressed, anxious or depressed? What do you do for stress relief? Are you sleeping well?

Spiritual Health

Are you connected with who you really are? Do you love your true self? Are you compassionate towards your self? Have you incorporated meditation or other ways of connecting? When someone is connected with this true self this tends to shine through and a natural glow emerges. Accepting where you are at, accepting and loving your skin and your body as they are now. This is beautiful.

Skin Health

Finally we can look at what to apply topically to the skin to encourage healthy skin. We do all the things to make sure our inner environment is healthy, that our thoughts are healthy and we are moving to encourage healthy circulation and hormonal health. Next we can support this with natural and amazing skincare to support our skin’s health. There’s a lot out there but my faves are Osmosis and Pranic Forest products.
I also find these therapies helpful: facial acupuncture or a wonderful holistic facial from our skin care specialist Meaghan S, who will be returning from maternity leave in October 2020.
