Slow Cooker Chicken Gyros
- 1 pound boneless, skinless chicken breasts or thighs
- 3 cloves garlic, minced
- ¼ cup fresh lemon juice
- 1 onion, diced
- ¼ cup water
- 1 Tablespoon olive oil
- 2 Tablespoons red wine vinegar
- 1 teaspoon oregano
- ¼ teaspoon allspice
- 1 teaspoon lemon pepper
- Place chicken breasts in crock pot, and mix remaining ingredients together in a bowl and pour over chicken breasts. Cook on HIGH for 3-4 hours or LOW 6-8 hours.
- Shred chicken and serve with pita bread, sliced tomatoes, sliced onions, sliced cucumbers, lettuce, and Tzatziki sauce – my own Tzatziki recipe coming next!!
