Thomas Edison was a man that could think outside the box. His ingenuity quite famously brought us the light-bulb that we have all come to appreciate and probably couldn’t live without. He also understood the principle that health comes from within. The human body is wonderfully complex and possess’ many built-in mechanisms to fix things when something goes wrong. What helps to ensure these systems are operating at optimal function is largely attributed to proper nutrition and movement of the body.
This is a concept I have grown to respect in both my personal and professional life. It is the root of why I chose to become a chiropractor.
Like most people, I grew up associating healthcare with hospitals and medical intervention. I was always fascinated with the human body and was drawn to the idea of working in the field of healthcare. It wasn’t until my mom brought me to a talk by a local chiropractor, that I learned healthcare could also encompass a natural, hands-on approach. Fast-forward 8 years of post-secondary education and I am so fortunate to be joining the integrative and vibrant team of health practitioners at Naturmend!
As a chiropractor I am passionate about helping people to move and feel their very best. I apply my knowledge and experience to help patients take an active role in their health.
Whether you are a recreational runner, a busy mother or chained to your computer for work, I strive to understand what your goals are and help you reach your full potential.
I am a big proponent that different bodies require different treatments. While most people associate adjustments with chiropractic care, that is just one of the tools in my toolbox. I like to use a combination of soft tissue therapies, adjustments, mobilizations, kinesiology taping, custom orthotics and rehabilitative exercises.
Many people traditionally seek my services for neck and low back pain, but I am also well trained to diagnose and treat other areas of the body such as shoulders, elbows, wrists, hips, knees and feet.
My mission is to not only treat your symptoms, but also provide lasting results that allow you to live in optimal health. I welcome you to set up a free consultation with me to see if chiropractic care might be beneficial for you!
